Sometimes I think of the simple little things in life that make our life easier, like post-it notes, or shoe laces, and I wish I was the person who had invented them. It seems obvious but before someone invented shoe laces, there were none (duh). There are great inventions that require a lot of thinking and technology, like smartphones, but hairpins are just as great an invention!
Same with cooking I suppose. I feel very proud when I manage to cook a full sunday lunch for 8 people after 4 hours spent in the kitchen, but I actually feel just as proud when I whip up something nice for the two of us to snack on while watching on favourite show.
I am not exactly the inventor of this Avocado Hummus, I found this recipe from Cooking Classy while surfing on Pinterest and when I saw it I thought: “But of course, how did I never think about this!”. Everyone loves hummus and everyone loves guacamole (or almost) ..so why not combine them!
Because I felt lazy that day, I simplified this already easy-peasy recipe. I did not even make the hummus in it myself but used a good already-made hummus (slap on the hand). This recipe is really ready in 2 mn and I love the taste of it, like a hummus but fresher.
A pot of good Hummus – 1 avocado – a dash of lime juice – a sprinkle of dried chili
1. Slice the avocado in 2 and remove the flesh.
2. Mix all ingredients together in a robot until smooth
3. Serve with some toasted flatbread and watch your favourite movie!
